Cast Steel Rolls for Section Mills

Cast steel rolls are designed for use in roughing, intermediate, and finishing stands of heavy, medium, and light section hot rolling mills. The products ensure the required profile formation and reliable operation under severe mechanical and thermal loads.

Depending on operating conditions and process requirements, the rolls are manufactured using static casting, centrifugal casting, forging, and CPC technology. High-chromium tool steels, high-speed steels (HSS), hypereutectoid steels, and alloyed graphitized steels are used in production.

Cast steel rolls operate under conditions of intensive wear, high temperatures, and significant contact stresses. Therefore, the products must meet stringent requirements for strength, wear resistance, manufacturing accuracy, and heat treatment quality.
